Our Mission

Make green dining more accessible to Hongkongers.

Melody is a product designer on Vego’s branding, user interface and user experience design.

Cynthia is a vegan, currently running a vegetarian social platform. Duties include Vego’s database, copywriting, publication and marketing.

How did it start?

In 2021, I was looking for a good place to have dinner with Cynthia, a vegan friend I recently met. I opened an HK restaurant app to search for a vegan-friendly place. After a few clicks, it turned out that I was so confused about the filter options that I couldn't even begin to choose one. Was the ‘Meatless Menu’ the same as ‘Vegetarian’? How do I know if it is suitable for lacto-vegetarian, ovo-vegetarian, or flexitarian? As a UIUX designer, I realised the need for a holistic and accurate collection of green restaurants in HK, for the sake of green eaters and green restaurants. We are currently applying for start-up competitions and funding for this project.
